Jason Vega Named Voice of Prophecy Manager/Treasurer

Jason Vega, formerly VOP associate donor relations director, was recenlty appointed as the ministry's new manager/treasurer.

Jason Vega, who most recently served as the Voice of Prophecy’s associate director of Donor Relations, has accepted the ministry’s invitation to serve as its manager/treasurer, stepping into the role on April 12.

“Jason is exactly the right person to help lead the Voice of Prophecy into the next century of its ministry,” says Ken Norton, speaker/director for the Voice of Prophecy. “His extensive experience in financial management, his
understanding of the systems and donor base that keep us running, and his deep love for God and the church have been and will continue to be a great benefit to our ministry.”

Vega joined the Voice of Prophecy in December 2023, focusing on engaging with donors in person and finding the most efficient ways to recognize and communicate with those who support the ministry. He recently became
certified to administer trust services as well.

“My favorite part of the job was getting to know the people whose lives were changed by the Voice of Prophecy,” says Vega. “Understanding our donors, our ministry’s driving force, will help me as manager/treasurer relay their
voices to all of our departments and build upon this ministry’s rich heritage.”

In joining the leadership team of the Voice of Prophecy, Vega is excited to work closely with Norton.

“I love how Ken is committed to advancing the pillars of our ministry to stay engaged with our longtime supporters while using new technologies to reach a younger generation,” he says. “God has a great work to do for the Voice of Prophecy.”

Before joining the ministry, Vega spent more than 25 years in insurance and financial planning, regularly advising businesses on budgeting. He also co-owned an insurance company and a mortgage company. Since becoming a Seventh-day Adventist, he has organized Bible studies, religious small groups, and large-scale evangelistic series.

“I was brought into the church as an adult through an evangelistic series,” says Vega. “Opening God’s Word for thefirst time transformed every aspect of my life—all my goals, my objectives, and my passions. That is why evangelism weighs so heavily on my heart.”

Vega prayed that God would lead his career into ministry, and the Voice of Prophecy became that answer.

“As manager/treasurer, my sense of responsibility is great, but so is my sense of purpose,” he says. “My prayer is that God will continue to use my background in the business world to help lead this ministry forward.”
